Nessebar in Bulgaria has been named the cheapest place in Europe for an out of season beach holiday taking into account the cost of flights and distance from the airport, as well as eating out and the price of a pint.
Known as the Pearl of the Black Sea, Nessebar was named the best-value beach thanks to £1.60 beers, return flights from £70 and three-star hotel rooms from £45 per night. An all-important ice cream costs £1.20, with a family meal and a three-course dinner for two costing £28 and £22, respectively. What great value!

The Budva Riviera in Tivat, Montenegro, took second place. While Costa de Almería and Costa Dorada in Spain took third and fourth place respectively. Medulin in Pula, Croatia, rounded off the top five.

Now that Summer 2025 is officially over there is still plenty of great weather across Europe. With thousands of flights throughout autumn (and also next spring which is similarly quieter than peak summer), great value beach breaks are still available across Europe.
