Half a day of travelling with my Little Lady – a great travelling companion! Easy easyJet flights from London Luton to Faro (Portugal) with quick and simple online check in, pre-booked parking, through security (although they didn’t believe her age when I told them she needed to stay with me for my extra pat down!) and we left on time. Then a pre-booked shared transfer (with just one other couple) for about an hour to…. somewhere sunny.

OUR STAY: Thanks so much to VidaMar Resorts who generously gave me 2 nights at their Algarve resort just for winning a little quiz when I attended a training day at easyJet holidays! We were so excited to be there at last! Juggling the resort’s availability, flight schedules and the Little Lady’s end of school goings on – along with my own schedule – was a work of art. We did our best to squeeze everything into a very short space of time. Weather was gorgeous. Resort was idyllic.
OUR ROOM: Our Prestige Double Resort View room was so large (42m2), quiet, comfortable and clean. Sleeps 2-4 people. Wi-Fi, balcony, shower, smart TV, AC, safe, minibar, tea & coffee facilities and room service.
OUR POOLS: The resort boasts 4 pools: 1 indoor & 1 outdoor (for all), 2 smaller kids pools (one of which contains our fave swim up cocktail and milkshake bar), plus an adult only pool.
OUR BEACH: Salgados Beach day – An easy 200m walk from the resort across a dedicated, raised walkway. So clean. Not too busy. Warm water with a good amount of waves for swimming – or just bobbing around. You can rent a couple of sun loungers & parasol for a half/full day (€12/20). Massages available plus little huts selling drinks and the all-important ice creams. Boat rides etc available just a short walk along the beach. Blissful!
